Run For Your Dreams

Kevin Grow Autograph

For those of you who don’t know who is in this picture. His name is Kevin Grow. Kevin is a basketball player who happens to have Down Syndrome. After an outstanding high school game, where he hit 4 three pointers, Kevin was signed on a one day contract with the Philadelphia 76ers and then signed by the Harlem Globetrotters as a 3 point specialist.
As I look at this autographed picture of Kevin Grow (thanks for getting it autographed Whitney Boone) I think about all the potential that Holland has in front of her. It is every parents dream to have their child succeed in life and the same is true for me.  It gives me butterflies to think about her running the Run For Holland 5K by my side, or maybe playing high school basketball and hitting a big shot, or maybe climbing Everest! Whatever Holland chooses to be great at Brooke and I am going to do everything in my power to help her get there. It is so great to see the great support from this community for not only Holland but for every other child/person with a disability that wants to shoot for the stars like Kevin has! I thank God that he is allowing Holland to have the support network she has and that this race has come together so beautifully.
Thank you everyone for your rock solid love and support and thank you Kevin Grow for bringing great awareness to the “Not so”disabled community!
